Q:  Why do I always get kicked offline when I check my e-mail?
A:  You have a check mark in a box that tells it to disconnect you every time after you send or receive messages. To fix this, open Outlook Express, click on Tools at the top of the screen, go down to Options and click on it.  Click the Connection Tab at the top and find the choice that says Hang up after sending and receiving.  Uncheck this box. Press OK at the bottom, and this will solve your problem.

Q:  Why am I getting a message stating my mailbox is full or I am getting close to my Quota when my Inbox is empty?
A:  Your mailbox has a size limit of 10 Megs. The most common problem is this: Like your computers Recycle Bin, your email box has a Deleted Items Folder. This is for your own security incase you accidentally delete a message you intended to keep a little longer. You need to click on the link on the left hand side that says Folder List. In here you will see all of your folders, one being Deleted Items. You can empty it one of two ways, one being going into the folder by clicking on it and deleted them one by one or one page at a time by putting a check mark in front of each message and clicking delete selected at the bottom, or you can clean out the entire folder by putting a check mark in the box in front of the Deleted Items folder, and then clicking Empty Selected button near the bottom.

Q:  Why do I get messages sent to me without my name or and incorrect name on it?
A:  These are mass emails that are sent out with your name/email address in the field labeled, BCC.  This stands for Blind Carbon Copy. You don’t get to see the other email addresses this message has been sent to, let alone your own. Unless these are Important or expected emails, you should delete them and/or block them.
